Five years afterChadwick Boseman‘s death, Kevin Feige is reportedlyplanning to recast the role of T’Challa. The news comes from scooper Jeff Sneider, via his siteThe Insneider. It was surprising news, considering Marvel’s earlier stance that they wouldn’t do so out of respect for Boseman.
The actor passed away in 2020 after a quiet battle with colon cancer in 2020. After Marvel decided not to recast, the character was shown to have died offscreen inBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever. Sneider shared that“the door is firmly open for T’Challa to be recast,”adding that it would happen via the multiverse.
