What’s The Plot of Platinum End?

PLatinum Endfollows the story of Mirai Kakehashi, a boy who spent most of his life getting abused by his uncle. After giving up all hope, Kakehashi attempts suicide; however, a guardian angel appears and saves him. The angel, Nasse, tells Mirai that the current God will retire in 999 days, and currently, there are 13 candidates to sit on his throne, including Mirai. Now, the boy must compete against other contestants, and unfortunately, he does not have the option to run away from the competition.
