Persona 5 Tacticatakes a step away from the usual turn-based combat in the main games to a new top-down tactics gameplay style. Despite the new system and mechanics, a lot of aspects from the base Persona games are integrated into Tactica.

Just like in Persona 5 Royal, Tactica offers five different difficulty settings for players to choose from. While each level of difficulty will affect the stats and AI of the enemy, there are a few other things changed to further make the game more difficult for players.

Persona 5 Tactica offers five different difficulty settings for players to try, all of whichcan be switched at any time,not during a mission. The difficulty setting alsodetermines how many Baton Passes can be used for each mission,which in this game switch out downed members withreserve membersat the end of the enemies' turn.

Infinite Baton Passeswith the party fully revived if everyone is taken out. The AI rarely takes advantage of your character’s placements, and the damage received is minimized.
3 Baton Passes for missions,with less than usual damage received from enemies.

2 Baton Passes for missions,with the enemy AI taking advantage of the One More system fully while characters take increased damage and deal less.Friendly fire is also active for gun attacks and Persona skills.
1 Baton Pass for missions,with the enemy AI fully utilizing all mechanics in the game to line updevastating combos if characters aren’t in cover.Characters take large amounts of damage, andfriendly fire is also active.

How To Change The Difficulty
The game’s difficulty can be changed either in the Hideout or during a mission prep screen. Go to the final option,“System,” and select “Gameplay Settings,” with the second option being the difficulty option.This setting can be altered mission by mission, letting players go back and complete more difficult missions on an easier difficulty to get three stars on every mission or to quicklyfarm new Personas.
