A recently leaked sales chart has revealed data related to some ofSEGA’s biggest titles over the last six years, and the results may surprise you. Among the listed games were names such as Sonic Frontiers, Shin Megami Tensei 5 and Total War: Warhammer 3, but it was Persona 5 Royal that blew the rest of the competition out of the water.
Sony CEO Says PS5 Finally Has More Players Than PS4
Sony has confirmed that the PS5 has more monthly users than the PS4, with the current console taking five years to outstrip its predecessor.
After failing to properly redact files ina presentation for the SEGA SAMMY Management Meetingon June 18th, some users were able to copy and paste the blank boxes and reproduce them elsewhere to find the original information distributed at the meeting.

The presentation included a range of important topics such as market forecasts, sales strategies and, of course, the sales figures themselves. This major blunder, while embarrassing for SEGA on the one hand, also reveals some very impressive numbers, particularly when it comes toPersona Royal 5.
SEGA’s New Biggest IP?
While there were other surprises, such as Team Sonic Racing outselling the entire Like A Dragon series and Total War: Three Kingdoms staying ahead of Warhammer 3, the real standout was justhow much Persona 5 Royal outsold the others.
In total, Persona 5 Royal had over 7 million copies sold, which includes its remastered version from 2022, almost double the 4 million of Sonic Frontiers, which came in second. While interest in the other titles had tapered off over time, figures for Persona 5 Royal only increased, with the last three years making up almost six out of the seven million sales.

It makes sense now why the Persona series is getting more attention, and more remastered editions, and the popularity is well-deserved. For many players, Persona 5 Royal is one of thegreatest JRPGs of all time, if not the best.
Persona 3 Reload also performed relatively well, with 2 million copies sold in its first two years. It seems that the popularity of the franchise is only growing to new heights, and while there isspeculation about future remasters and titles in the series, it seems that many players are perfectly content to revisit an older game like Persona 5 Royal.
