Each social link has ten levels to see, being unique hangouts that progress that person’s individual story. While social links don’t need to be completed to finish Persona 3 Reload’s main story, they all tell individual stories, many of which heavily build on the game’s major themes.

Social Link Ranks & Points
Every social link has ten ranks,and each of these ranks needs to beunlocked by getting enough social link points with that character.These are the yellow music note icons that appear over that character’s head when talking to them in either a social link rank or hangout.
Social Link points can be earned during the various ranks of a social link by selecting the answers that character wants to hear the most. Knowing these characters and how to talk with them is key to ranking them up efficiently.Social Link points aren’t trackable, and the values vary from character to character and rank to rank. These points don’t carry over between ranks, butselecting the best option in each rank should usually earn the required points.Should you select the wrong answers in a rank, there’s a chance you won’t see the next social link rank the next time you hang out with that character.
When interacting with a social link whose arcana is over their head duringfree time,yourcharacter will think if they will or will not get closer to that social link by hanging out with them.If you will get closer, that means the next hangout is a social link rank. If you feel like you won’t get closer to them yet, the next hangout will be arandom hangout and not an actual social link rank.These regular hangouts do earn social link points and can be used to make sure the next hangout will be a rank.

How To Raise Social Links
Simply hanging out with a social link either for a rank or a regular hangout will award social link points. In ranks,selecting the right answers will give varying amounts of pointsdepending on how much that character agrees with what is said. Social Links will alsoreach out to the player on days off for regular hangouts,which offer easy ways to earn social link points on days that social links usually aren’t available.
When completing social link ranks, be sure tohave aPersonaof that social link’s arcana,as doing so will boost the amount of social link points given when selecting the correct answer. Variousgifts can also be given to social links on regular hangouts to give additional pointsas long as the gift is something that person would want.
