They say it’s never too late to mend, but Gege Akutami proves otherwise with a new twist inJujustu Kaisen. Spoilers for the upcoming chapter have surfaced on the internet and they warrant the return of a fan-favorite character. The character in question is Nobara, who has been absent from the story since the Shibuya Incident Arc. Since, fans have received brief updates on her condition, but that’s all we’ve seen of her in a long time.

One might expect such a twist would bring joy to the fandom, but fans are not happy. While there are numerous reasons behind the negative reception of this narrative decision, fans fear that the manga is heading towards an ending that is worse thanMy Hero Academia. Recently ended after a decade-long-run,My Hero Academiafaced some criticism for its unsatisfactory conclusion.Jujutsu Kaisenis now headed towards a similar future, but one far more disappointing.
The Comeback of Nobara inJujutsu Kaisenis Too Late And Convenient
During the initial stages of the story, Nobara was a delight every time she swung her hammer on the screen. She was strong and served as a model female character. Her chemistry with the other characters and the role she played in fights made her supposed end an emotional event. It even led to great character development for Itadori, but since then, she has been absent from the story.

Now that the manga is only a few chapters away from its end,Gege Akutamihas decided to bring her back. As it wasn’t officially confirmed that she is dead, her fans expected her to return at some point in the story. But even though it was anticipated, fans are not happy with how it happened. Her return isn’t the problem, but the way it’s happening is quite disappointing.
We know that there are only a few chapters left, so this twist denies fans the complete enjoyment of her return. She has conveniently reappeared from a coma at the exact moment when she was needed against Sukuna. Nobara was a great character, and a cool fight alone was enough to make up for her absence.

What Awaits Us is An Ending Worse thanMy Hero Academia
My Hero Academiareceived criticism for how the story treated Deku in the end. Deku deserved better as a character after spending many years of his life saving the world. While most fans believe that he lost everything, there’s another part of the fandom that believes what happened was not that bad.
Jujutsu Kaisen Bringing Back a Major Character Foreshadowed the Return of the Strongest Sorcerers with the Most Heartbreaking Sacrifices
On the other hand, a worse ending forJujustu Kaisenis all but confirmed. Gege Akutami made the concept of stakes lose its relevance. The current fight has been going on for a long time.
While he introduced many characters to fight the villain, they all died without any real developments. Even though lives were on the line, the gravity of the situation didn’t register.

The worst, which is death, had already happened; not once but over and over. With a writing style heavily reliant on deaths, shocking comebacks, and cliffhangers, Akutami desensitized his readers. Unless it was all planned with a bigger and better picture in mind, there’s no course for redemption for the story at this point.
