Video game crossoversare nothing new, but Palworld isn’t like most games. It has been harshly criticized for its similarities toPokemon, to the point of plagiarism accusations from the Pikachu fans of the world.

In a recent interview with thegamer.com, Pocketpair discussed what led to early success and how they plan to capitalize on it for the future.
The fact that Palworld is currentlyinvolved in legal troubleswithNintendoand The Pokemon Company isn’t slowing the game down. The official Palworld Twitter/X account has announced aPalworld x Terraria crossover is happening in 2025.
Unfortunately, the announcement left a huge unanswered question – what games will feature the crossover?
Will Palworld appear in Terraria, or will Terraria appear in Palworld?
The fact that the announcement was made on the official Palworld social media channels suggests that, at the very least, Terraria content will appear in Palworld. This could involve character skins, items, or monsters being brought over.
However, the artwork used in the announcement was more evocative of Terraria’s 2D art style. Does this mean thePals will become alliesin Terraria?
Will both crossovers happen at the same time, with content from both games moving over, like the timeFinal Fantasy 14andMonster Hunterswitched enemies for an event?

It helps that both games heavily featurecrafting and survival elements. If nothing else, it will be fitting for Pals to start frolicking around Terraria biomes.
There’s also the lingering question of the Nintendo and ThePokemon Company lawsuits. Terraria isn’t shutting down anytime soon, but if Palworld is smote from the earth by Pikachu’s lawyers, then maybe it will become the last bastion of Pal content.
Whatever the case, both games could use a content injection, and a crossover is a very easy way to draw eyes to both titles.
