One such danger will be struggling to survive in extreme temperatures such as the volcano area — which is home to some of the best Fire Pals you can obtain.
Beast Fire Pal For The Early Game
One of the earliest Fire Pals that you will come across is Foxparks. This is an adorable little red fox-looking pal with flames coming off its body. This will be a perfect pal to start leveling up and mopping the floor with any Grass and Ice pals you come across. The best part is that this is also one of the first Pals you will be making some special gear for after unlocking it withtechnology points.
Huggy Fire lets your Foxparks be used as a flamethrower to deal out a large amount of damage to humans and Pals alike. This will be a much higher DPS than anything else you can muster this early in the game and should be your opening approach when engaging in combat. This will also be the first Pal to into how the Kindling work suitability works and why it is so important.
A Much Better Flying Mount Than Nitewing
There are a lot of Pals that you will be making Saddles for as you progress through the game. Saddles will let youmount and ride your Pals. One of the first Pals you will get as a flier is Nitewing, but this is a very slow-flying mount, and you are going to wantthe fastest mounts available. This Pal also has dual typing in both Fire and Dark, giving you a large number of Pals weaknesses to exploit.
This Pal’s Partner Skill will have you dealing extra damage whenever you target a foe’s weak points, which can be a great help in dropping dangerous Pals sooner. Once you upgrade to a different dedicated Fire Pal, this Pal will be able to pull its weight at your base with a Transporting Work Suitability of Lv 3.
This Pal Will Keep Your Temperature Neutral While Mounted
Kitsunis a rare pal to come by, and catching it is made even harder by it being found in an area where the temperatures get really low. You will need to brush up on how tosurvive in some of the harshest of climate conditionsif you wish to brave the journey of getting a Kitsun.
Clear Mind gives you a boost to your mounted speed, while also ignoring all the environmental effects that hinder players that make their way through hot and cold climates. This will let you explore both the volcanic area in the southwest, the scorching desert sands in the northeast, and the frigid wastes of the northernmost islands.
A Brilliant Base All-Rounder
This Pal’s Kindling is at Lv 2, already making it a good addition to your base by the time you can catch it. It also comes with Transporting at Lv 2, and even Handiwork at Lv 3. Making it an utterly stunning midgame base Pal to have even if you didn’t start training it to be in your party. However, you really should train it to be in your party.

It can gather crops and put those crops into chests with its combination of Gathering at Lv 1 and Transporting at Lv 2. It can also help speed up building with its Handiwork at Lv 1.
Its Partner Skill is Brandish Blade, which lets it dash right up to its foes to engage them head-on. This Pal can learn Grass, Ice, and Electric element moves in addition to several Fire ones. Giving it plenty of tricks in a dungeon of differing Pal elemental types.
Rain Fire From The Heavens
Ragnahawkis a Pal that will instantly become your new favorite dedicated Fire Pal until you get one of the late-game Fire Pal options. In fact, you really shouldconsider getting into breedingto try to get this Pal as soon as you can. While working at your base, this Pal will offer Transporting at Lv3 to make sure everything dropped on the ground gets put in a chest, and when you need some Ingots, it provides Kindling at Lv 3.
When not in your base, this Pal will be very effective in Combat. While you are mounted on Ragnahawk, this Pal will convert all the damage you do to Fire, but will also give you a significant damage boost. This lets you rain down fire damage on any unsuspecting Pal you pass over.
Speeding Through The Skies
Suzakuwas bumped up past Ragnahawk for one reason, it is just so much faster. The game doesn’t let you just fast-travel at any given time, you need to make your way to a designated point. Having a fast mount just makes things so much better, and once you get a Suzaku, putting your Ragnahawk into your base just makes more sense.
The Wings of Fire Partner Skill is very similar to Flame Wings in terms of giving you a damage boost, but this boost is also applied to Suzaku. This helps pile on the damage against your foes.
Furiously Fast Farmer
If you thought your Suzaku was fast, you will be very impressed with how fast Faleris makes short work of getting around the map. This Pal is significantly faster, while also having the same Work Suitabilities as Ragnahawk. However, this Pal does not provide the high damage numbers Suzaku and Ragnahawk boast.

What makes this Pal stand out is that it will cause Ice Pals to drop increased items, and with how fast it flies, it can swoop off to the next Ice Pal to make farming go very fast and efficient. You will find yourself using this Pal more often than the others while traveling and farming, and only switching to face off against truly daunting foes.
Late Game Powerhouse & Mining Pal
Blazamutis a monster in your party and a monstrously hard worker at the base. Very few Pals can boasthaving a Work Suitability at Lv 4— and Blazamut is one of them. Mining is one of the most vital Work Suitabilties as it is what you will use to make your Pals contribute to how much ore you are able to gather — and you will find you always need tofarm some ore. This Pal will provide Mining at Lv 4, and even help you turn that Ore into Ingots thanks to Kindling at Lv 3.
Magma Kaiser is a skill that is the same as Wings of Fire, in that it gives the player and Blazamut increased Fire damage while the Player is mounted. However, Blazamut comes with both Ignis Rage and Fire Ball to give in addition to these boosts. This makes for a terrifying amount of Firepower in battle.
Jormuntide Ignis
Best Kindling Pal & Insane Damage Output
Jormuntide Ignisis a dual-type Pal with both Dragon and Fire at its disposal. This means that in addition to being a very high damage dealer against Grass and Ice Pals, it is also perfect for dealing with all the strong late-game Dark-type opponents you will face. This Pal is also the only Pal with Kindling at Lv 4, making it boost production at your base better than any other.
Its Partner Skill is Stormbringer Lava Dragon which will boost the attack damage of all the fire moves used by both Jormuntide Ignis and the Player while the player is mounted on Jormuntide Ignis. This Pal is also able to swim across water, meaning there is no Island you cannot reach with it.
