Blizzard has teased the next crossover event coming toOverwatch 2in its next season, and you’ll never see it coming.
Thelaunch trailerfor Overwatch 2Season 18has been released, giving players a look at what they can expect to see.

Most of the new stuff is directed atthe Stadium mode, bringing three new heroes when the season starts on August 26, with another coming later on.
The new season will also add thenew support hero Wuyang, after he was playable in a trial phase earlier this week, in addition to summer-themed cosmetics in the new battle pass.

However, the most surprising reveal is a tease for the game’s next crossover event withPersona 5.
Summer Cosmetics, Stadium Updates, And A New Collab
Season 18 will be bringing back Overwatch’smostly-annual Summer Games event, with first-person and third-person versions of Lucio Ball along with Winston Volleyball, and will be running a bit later than usual, from September 2 to 15.
Summer-themed cosmetics are also returning with the new battle pass, including new additions Lily Roadhog and Poolside Wuyang.
For Stadium mode, Winston, Brigitte, and Pharah will now be playable as of when the season starts, with Tracer coming later on.
It’s also getting a new mode with Payload Race, putting teams in a race to get their payload to the end first with no checkpoints, and new maps to go with it in Powder Keg Mine, Thames District, and Oasis Gardens.
However, the most surprising reveal in the trailer is the next crossover event, following theNerf collab earlier this month, with Persona 5.
We didn’t get much to go on from the trailer, other than a very brief tease at the very end, but it’s safe to assume that, similar to previouscrossovers like the Street Fighter 6orAvatar: The Last Airbender events, it’ll come with new themed skins and maybe some challenge missions to complete.
Persona 5 has seen no shortage of collabs over the years since its release, including some with other games from Sega and Atlus, as well as with numerous different mobile games, most of which were shut down within a year or two of the collaboration. Hopefully the same won’t happen with Overwatch 2.
