The Straw Hat Pirates are in the final moments of their journey. They are currently on Egghead Island and slowly reaching towards theOne Piecetreasure. However, as they travel to the next phase of their journey, they are probably going to need new power-ups that could help them defeat the impending villains who are waiting for them.
Most of the Straw Hats have received their power-ups, with the Devil Fruit users getting their abilities awakened. Luffy has got Gear 5 mode, Brook already got his awakening after the time skip, and Robin recently awakened her Devil Fruit during the Wano arc. Now the only Devil Fruit user who has yet to awaken is Chopper, the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Although there have been no hints about Chopper going through an awakening, there are theories that explain what Chopper’s awakening would look like and how it is going to boost the overall powers of the Straw Hat Pirates in the final saga ofOne Piece. Among these theories, one speculation points out that his Devil Fruit awakening will make him an angel.
The Unexplored Powers of Chopper’s Devil Fruit
Tony Tony Chopper of the Straw Hat Pirates ate the Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruit, which grants him the ability to turn into a hybrid between a reindeer and a human. It is a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allowsChopper to use his intelligenceand the ability to speak human language. In total, the Devil Fruit gives Chopper three forms: the hybrid, the human, and the reindeer.

However, with the help of his medical knowledge, Chopper created a “medicine” that was able to unlock four new forms by changing the wavelength of the Devil Fruit formations. After the time skip, Chopper did not even need the medicine, as he himself could change his formations and even keep them for a longer period of time.
Aside from all these forms, Chopper also has one additional form that initially he was scared to use. It is called the Monster Point, and it took a lot of time for Chopper to keep it under control. His Devil Fruit has some of the most hidden abilities that no one knows about, and there is a big chance that he can get an awakening in the upcoming arcs.

According to a theory posted byu/plureauon Reddit, Chopper’s Devil Fruit will awaken to become Hito Hito No Mi: Model Angel. The theory stems from the fact that Chopper’s Devil Fruit gives him the qualities of a human, and when human beings awaken, they change their forms and become more like angels.
Also, the Straw Hat Pirates follow the theme of darkness and light. Zoro and Robin are beings of darkness, as they have hell-based powers and attacks. Sanji, on the other hand, is referred to as the ruler of the sky. Therefore, the next power-up or Devil Fruit awakening will certainly add the member to the light side of the crew.

Chopper’s awakening will grant him healing abilities owing to the fact that he is a doctor. While the theory sounds great, there is not much credence to add to it. It all depends onEiichiro Odaand what he has planned for Chopper, his Devil Fruit, and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates. Right now, they are stuck on Egghead Island and are trying to find a way to escape from the island.
