The official introduction of Shanks’ twin brother Shamrock has shaken the entireOne Piecefandom, as it has cleared a lot of speculations about almost every character connected to him. From Shanks to Figarland Garling, Shamrock’s revelation has made sense of a lot of confusing mysteries that Eiichiro Oda introduced inOne Pieceover time.

One such mystery that Shamrock’s introduction has solved is the origins of Shanks’ sword, which has been a topic of discussion for quite some time. AsOne Piecefans know, Shanks’ sword is called Gryphon, and it is probably the only sword inOne Piecethat has an unknown rank and origin. But this mystery is evidently solved by Shamrock.
However, what fans don’t realize is that Shamrock’s introduction and his connection to Shanks’ sword have also solved the infamous mystery behind the popularOne Piecequote “turning the world upside down.” This quote has been used by both Whitebeard and Gol D. Roger, and the real meaning of it might shock the fandom.

The mystery of Shanks’ sword
The recentOne Piecechapters have put a special focus on Shanks’ family and his status as a Celestial Dragon. Shamrock, who is trying to persuade Loki into joining the God’s Knights, reveals to him that Shanks is actually his younger brother, and although he visited Mary Geoise, he decided to stay a pirate and fulfill his own ambitions as aOne Piececharacter.

TheOne Piecechapters also put a special focus on Shamrock’s sword called Cerberus, which is quite identical to Shanks’ sword and the sword that is carried by Saint Figarland Garling, the newly appointed Elder inOne Piece.According to@fexryton Instagram, all three of them have the same sword, and they are from Mary Geoise.
When Shanks visited Mary Geoise, he learned about his origins and also the significance of the special swordsin the Figarland family. He somehow managed to acquire the sword that belonged to him and then went on to accomplish great things in theOne Piecepirate world.

One Piecewill turn the world upside down
As fans know, once theOne Piecetreasure is found, it will turn the world upside down. Not only has Whitebeard officially claimed it, but it was also hinted at through Gol D. Roger. But no one exceptEiichiro Odaknows what it actually means. But Shamrock’s revelations during the recentOne Piecemanga chapters have shed some light on it.
As Shamrock revealed, he is, in a way, the guardian of Mary Geoise. However, his sword, Cerberus, was the guardian of the underworld according to Greek mythology. According to @fexryt, theOne Pieceworld is currently “upside down,” and the real underworld is the Mary Geoise, which is being guarded by Cerberus and Shamrock.

It also drops a hint that theOne Piecetreasure might be something that can essentially turn the world “upside down” once again, bringing it back to its initial way. While these are still speculations, they offer a decent understanding and connection between the many mysteries introduced by Oda inOne Piece.
