And for years many have created their own versions of what happened with the unlikely pair of the bookshop owner and world-famous actress. However, aNotting Hill 2was actually in the works, as writer Richard Curtis revealed toIndieWire.
I tried doing one withNotting Hillwhere they were going to get divorced, and Julia [Roberts] thought that was a very poor idea.

While it is sad to think that we never got to know more about William and Anna, seeing Curtis’ idea of the sequel, it only seems right for Julia Roberts to have rejected it.Notting Hillis more than just a film and cinematic escape, rather, it is a testament to the enduring power of true love and the magic that can happen when two worlds collide.
So, if Curtis had gone forth with the idea, it would have not only potentially tarnished the legacy and charm of the film but also taken away the unique essence that made it resonate with audiences.

Notting Hillis available to be streamed on Netflix.
