Recent weeks have been somewhat quiet. This is not one of those weeks as we are definitely heading into the start of the busy season. So, what’s new on Xbox this week?

There are some big headline acts this week across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this week. Gotham Knights, a next-gen/PC exclusive, will finally see the light of day (and the darkness of night…) when it releases this Thursday. There’s been some recent controversy about the gamebeing locked to 30FPS, despite being a next-gen console release, though that’s surely not going to put a dent in the enthusiasm of the DC loyalists.

There’s another kind of hero landing on Xbox this week, but rather than race around town in a souped-up bike or a battle tank, he gets about with a deceptively large phone box and his greatest nemesis is a spotty vacuum cleaner. Of course, it could only be The Doctor, who is getting a double-pack release on Xbox this week with Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins. Fans of The Doctor will be happy to know that some of the team from the TV series actually worked alongside the developers in crafting the stories, so you can expect a certain level of authenticity.

If you’re after something a little more sociable for the weekend, Jackbox Party Pack 9 is out on Thursday, bringing with it five new games for teams of players to enjoy. A few of the DualShockers team recently got together to try this one out early and… it was fantastic. Be on the lookout for our Jackbox Party Pack 9 review very soon.
