What’s new on theNintendo Switchthis week? What games will be landing on store shelves and the Nintendo eShop? It’s a decent week, to be fair, and there’s plenty for everyone.
One of the higher-profile releases is no doubtOctopath Traveler 2, which continues the series with a new setting, story, and cast of characters. The JRPG isn’t out until the end of the week but the reviews are already pouring in, and the consensus is that it’s pretty good, though some outlets have noted it’s not on the same level as the predecessor.
If you like your RPGs with a bit more flair to them, this week also sees the release ofDigimon World: Next Order, which is actually a re-release that’s a few years old. Originally released in 2016 for the PS Vita before being ported to PS4, Digimon World: Next Order on Switch promises several improvements over the original portable release, so Switch players can be sure they’re getting a neat on-the-go adventure that can also be played on the big screen at home.

Speaking of re-releases, one that’s hot on the lips of the Nintendo faithful is Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, which huffs and puffs onto the eShop on Friday. However, this one is more than a re-release as it’s a full-on remake of the original that adds new content, game modes, and improvements to the core gameplay. Weekend multiplayer, anyone?
For something completely new, there’s a 3D platformer in the shape of Clive ‘N’ Wrench which is also hitting the Switch on Friday. For fans of old-school 3D platformers, this one comes highly recommended. You’ll be able to read and/or watch our review on release day.
