Netflix And Wit Studio Announces One Piece Anime Remake
Netflix released an incredible trailer to announce the upcoming One Piece Anime Remake while also celebrating the greatness that One Piece has achieved over the past 25 years.
As confirmed in the news, the new series will kick off from the very start, adopting the East Blue Saga. Contrary to some rumors on social media, this will be an entire series and not a single movie. So, this will be a fantastic chance for newcomers to explore the captivating world of One Piece right from the beginning. With enhanced animation, the brilliance of the East Blue Saga is bound to be exceptionally well received.

The release of the new One Piece project is still quite a ways off, but knowing that Wit Studio and Netflix are collaborating on it makes the wait absolutely worthwhile. Currently, the creators haven’t shared additional details about “The One Piece,” such as a release window, director, other staff members, or voice actors. However, with the recent public announcement, we can anticipate more details coming to light soon.
This will be a Remake that will be made from scratch, so WIT Studio might hire a completely new cast. However, it would certainly be difficult for the fandom to accept someone else as Luffy’s voice. So, it would not be surprising if the creators decided to go ahead with the original, legendary voice cast for the remake.
A special note was also shared by Takeshi Wada, the president of Wit Studio. He shared how important it was to discuss this adventure with everyone. Takashi felt honored by the show’s history but also excited about the new journey ahead. He expressed that they wanted to tell this story about chasing dreams, friendship, and hope, just like Eiichiro Oda did. Takashi asked for help from all creators to make this tale reach every corner of the world and welcomed everyone to join in to be a part of the new project.
