My Hero Academia Chapter 412 Spoilers
Deku’s arm is under the spotlight as an x-ray reveals the workings of Black Whip expanding his muscles. Flashbacks of Izuku’s journey with One For All flicker through his mind. With a determined spirit, he unleashes Fa Jin, summoning the power of the wind for a resounding Delaware Smash. Shigaraki acknowledges Midoriya’s strategic brilliance, noting that annihilating the arena is a clever counter to his destructive Decay quirk.
Shigaraki attempts to reach the ground, only to find the lingering dust cloud concealing a barrage of Black Whips. Emerging from above, Deku delivers a forceful punch, severing Shigaraki’s arm. Cleverly, he employs Gearshift’s 1st gear on the smokescreen, slowing its dissipation. Meanwhile, Black Whips intensify, triggering Shigaraki’s incessant Danger Sense. Aware of its imperfections from Nagant’s bullet, Deku charges Fa Jin. However, Shigaraki, utilizing Search, exploits the opportunity, ensnaring him with ominous black tendrils.

The tide turns as Search unveils Deku’s vulnerability - he can’t breathe. The aftermath of Gearshift leaves him suffering, and Shigaraki seizes the chance to regenerate his arm. Observing Deku’s strain, black marks surface on his exposed arm – proof of the intensity of his efforts. Shigaraki taunts, highlighting the burden of protecting many. Undeterred, Deku, fueled by the memory of a weeping boy, presses on. Shigaraki evades a kick, launching into a speech that echoes across the arena.
Shigaraki explains we all see things differently, trying to make sense of the unknown. He accuses Deku of dissecting him without understanding. Reminding him that OFA and AFO share memories, he declares Tenko is gone, transformed into Shigaraki. Nana recalls advising Izuku to give up on some souls. Shigaraki, on the other hand, challenges heroism. Nana suggests a lethal strike, killing Shigaraki instantly, but Deku rejects it.

As memories flood in, Izuku recalls Tomura’s words about hiding pain in hero society. Kudou, initially rejecting Deku, dives into his memories. He discovers Midoriya’s unshakable belief in everyone, even those supposed to be enemies or without quirks. Within the vestiges, Star and Stripes' arm appears, catching Aura, Might, and Kudou’s attention. The closing panel echoes All Might’s encouragement to embrace heroism.
