Matt Rife was once a beloved comedian who had a substantial internet following and a dedicated audience that loved him. So much so, that he managed to score an opportunity to release his own special on Netflix, not only to gain a bigger audience but also to establish himself as a true comic. Unfortunately for him, the only attention that he got from this special was negative.
The comic made a joke at the expense of domestic abuse victims, specifically talking about a waitress with a black-eye, that he found unbecoming. It is safe to say that this not only infuriated his prominently female audience but also forced the internet to alienate him, after failing to properly apologize for his actions.
It would seem that controversy does not seem to end for the comedian as Lisa Ann, an adult star and a friend of his, has gotten into trouble of her own at one of his shows. Hers, however, was not with the internet, but with the law.

Lisa Ann recently released a video onXthat has fans polarised. The adult star posted a video of herself getting arrested outside aMatt Rifeshow. Adorning handcuffs, she told the camera that the reason for this was that officers were claiming that she was on her phone during the set. The actress wrote in the caption of this post that this was not the case at all and she was at this show for a very specific reason.

Ann mentioned that she was very excited to see Rife performing his set, not only because she is a fan of his, but because the two are close friends. She further stated that she was kept in handcuffs for almost an hour and then put in an ambulance. Nothing came of this, other than Ann missing Rife’s show.
Rife has become quite the controversial figure after his Netflix special where he made a joke about a waitress that served him at a restaurant having a bruise one her eye. He then went on to state that nobody present at the restaurant wanted to see this and if she was a better cook, should would not have the bruise in the first place. The hatred the he received from this seems to be following not only him, but also those who are associated with him.

It would seem that the people in the comments of this post were more focused on the fact that Lisa Ann went to a Matt Rife show than the fact that she was arrested. Many fans stated that it was extremely funny that the adult star went to a Matt Rife show and enjoyed herself, with him being a controversial figure. Fans are more than a little brutal towards him since his Netflix Special.

Many have stated that they do not believe the comic to be all too funny, causing them to question how Ann could be having fun at one of his shows. One fan stated that Rife must have been seriously unfunny for the law to step in when someone was using their phone during his set. Some even tried to comfort Ann by telling her that since it was a Matt Rife show, she would not be missing out on a lot.
