Moons of Madnesshas already been cited by IGN as “one of the scariest looking games we’ve ever seen” so by that statement, this cosmic horror game will for sure be a must-play for horror fans of the genre and also the ideal game to play on Halloween night, especially. You start out on this Lovecraftian horror as Shane Newehart, chief engineer on a research facility on Mars, 140 million miles away from the nearest police station. After awakening from a strange dream, things start going wrong and you are pretty much left to your own devices. With this being a horror game, you can be guaranteed some jump scares and intense moments as you figure out a way to stay alive.

Rock Pocket Games CEO Ivan Moen states that “We wanted to make a game that combines Lovecraftian elements and Mars exploration,” Moen explains. “And central to a good Lovecraft experience is the battle that goes on in your own mind. You will face external threats, sure, but having to face your inner demons at the same time is what makes this truly terrifying.”
Moons of Madnesswasfirst introducedback in 2017 as the Norway-based independent studio Rock Pocket Games announced a brand-new, psychological horror game in which they revealed the following three core mechanics ofMoons of Madness: Combining hard science, based on meticulous analysis of NASA and Space X research, with Lovecraftian horror, An innovative feature called “Zone Outs” that simulates Lovecraftian madness in which players are exposed to hallucinations and visions they play through as part of the game. They have to understand what the visions are expressing as they foreshadow certain events mapping out the character’s history and exploring mental illness through various game modes without antagonizing the medical condition itself.
