The film will be written and directed by Coogler and has now landed at Warner Bros as reported byThe Hollywood Reporter. The outlet also released some interesting information about the premise of the film.

THR further reported that the film will be a period thriller involving the undead, with a lot of anime influences. Jordan is a huge fan of Japanese anime and has also revealed its influences for the final fight in his directorial debut filmCreed III. Judging from this premise of the untitled film, there is one anime that Jordan and Coogler might be taking inspiration from.
The beloved animeHellsinghas a similar theme and tone to Jordan’s upcoming film. The anime series based on the popular manga series written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano, chronicles the adventures of the members of the Hellsing organization who is sworn to protect England from vampires and other supernatural threats.
There is a resemblance between the storyline of the anime and what the film is trying to accomplish. The film is reported to start shooting this April in New Orleans. One has to wait for more official information about the film and what anime influences the duo managed to incorporate into the film.

Jordan claimed that he got to learn so much about the craft from talented actors in the show including Idris Elba, Wood Harris, Dominic West, J.D. Williams, and many others. He also pointed out how the show was supposed to be canceled in its early seasons but went on to go for many more seasons due to the love of the audience. He said,
“It was so much fun bro because at that time I was so young I didn’t really know what that show was going to be at the time. I was around so many talented veterans. You know Idris Elba was on there, Wood Harris. You had Dominic West, J.D. Williams, Andre Royo, Wendell Pierce, David Simon, you know there’s so many incredible actors that I got an opportunity at a young age to just learn from.
But for me honestly, throughout my career, it opened up so many other doors for me with other roles in other productions because they were such big fans of The Wire. So being such big fans of that show and that character really hit home with a lot of people, it definitely gave me a lot of opportunity with roles in the future.”
Jordan has grown tremendously as an actor over the years and has also ventured into directing with 2023’sCreed III. The actor is very passionate about the craft and fans are excited about what he has to offer with his future acting prospects.
