This could be seen as Konami’s strategy to revitalize the series by introducing a remake, following in the footsteps of successful franchises likeResident EvilandSilent Hill. The original game is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 30, 2025, making it a fitting and meaningful launch date for the upcoming remake.

Unfortunately, despite our speculations, Konami has yet to make an official statement regarding the release date. For now, the information remains limited to the announcement made during last year’s PlayStation Showcase.

Metal Gear SolidDelta: Snake Eaterwill be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Despite the excitement among fans, any hopes for a collaboration between Kojima and Konami seem unlikely, given the somewhat tense nature of their parting ways.

What Kojima Did After Leaving Konami

Kojima separated Kojima Productions, which he founded within Konami in 2005, into an independent studio in 2015. We haven’t heard him talk much about theMetal Gear Solidseries that has been integrated with him since then.
