While NetEase has alreadytalked about keyboard and mouse adapterseven inMarvel Rivals' beta phase, the studio doubled down on its stance with a new statement released today.
The developers have even specifically named the XIM, Cronus Zen devices as some of the unwanted mouse and keyboard adapters they are very much against.

First off,NetEasedefines mouse and keyboard adapters as “the use of software or hardware to mimic controller inputs with a keyboard and mouse.This method can grant an unfair edge in competitive play, for example, harnessing high sensitivity with the aim-assist features.”
Some of the most common adapters include the XIM, KeyMander, Cronus, Titan Two, and the Brook Sniper line of devices. Even if the device brand isn’t mentioned, as long as it’s a device that enables keyboard and mouse emulation of controller inputs, it’s considered to be part of the flagged devices.
The studio states that they have developed a “strong” detection tool, and add in the human eyes that are watching, they are accurately able to identify these cheaters.

Those caught using one of these devices will include temporary and permanent account suspensions, removal from leaderboards or other punishments depending on the circumstances of the violation.
This is definitely a step in the right direction. Based on my own experience, it’s surprising to not run across a wave of cheaters given this is a free-to-play game, and one that’s very, very popular these days – something cheaters target a lot.
It’s not just in terms of anti-cheat that NetEase is doing well with the community. Even the content roll out we’ve experience since the game launched is something to be lauded. That should continue, asNetEase has saidthey are targeting to at least one new hero every six weeks.
Just recently, the studiopushed out Season 1, which introduced Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the roster. There’s also the mid-season update to look forward to, which will then roll out The Thing and the Human Torch to round out The Fantastic Four.
