The actor toldVarietyback in 2019 that he’s aware of those fan calls for him to play the famous X-Men character. He said that he is simply a fan of MCU films and would love to join them.
Though he said that he was delighted to know that fans want him to play the iconic role, he thinks he would be a better fit for some other instead. He said:
“I love Marvel and I love the movies and I’d love the excuse to get in shape. I’d love to be a part of it, whether [Wolverine] is realistic or not, I don’t know.”
