After quite some time without news, Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios finally confirmed the release date for the last character of Kombat Pack 1 inMortal Kombat 1. Homelander, the popular main character fromThe Boys, will be available next week in the game.
Fans are not very pleased with the final version of this character; users on X say that it looks like a bad mod, and the lack of Antony Starr’s voice hurts the content. This was a strange choice, especially because Peacemaker has John Cena voicing the DLC character.

Another thing that fans noticed is that the voice of Antony Starr is not with the character; the actor who plays this legendary superhero will not be featured in the game.

Last year, Antony Starr announced that he would not be contributing his voice to theMortal Kombatversion of Homelander. However, he never provided a reason for this decision, given that he had already been involved inCall of Duty. Speculations suggest that this could be due to a financial issue, a scheduling conflict, or even an exclusivity contract with Activision. Fans are disappointed by this news.

Ed Boon has not confirmed any other Kombat packs at the moment.
