The Deleted Scene fromHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
It’s the Triwizard Tournament, and participants from Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy have just arrived at Hogwarts. The film then introduces them in style with the former chanting and leaping through The Great Hall and the latter charming the attendees with their graceful dance.
“What is Tom Felton doing?”: Fans Are Frustrated After Watching the Harry Potter Star Put His Acting Career in the Back Burner For Music
Those who watched the film might wonder why there wasn’t an introduction for Hogwarts since it was also a participant in the tournament. Well, there was one initially.
In the deleted scene, Dumbledore initiates the official school song about the greatness of Hogwarts. The song is calledHoggy Warty Hogwarts, and well, it is as weird as the title makes it sound.

Some of the lyrics from the anthem are,“Whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees”, and “for now they’re bare and full of hair, dead flies and bits of fluff.”
While the scene was filmed, it didn’t make it to the final cut of the film but can be found in the alternate version ofThe Goblet of Fire.

HBO’s Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson-Less Harry Potter Reboot is Not Going to be a Complete Disaster
While some likeDaniel Radcliffe’s Harry andEmma Watson’s Hermione sang the anthem with full pride, others likeTom Felton’s Draco couldn’t hide the embarrassment from their faces. Even the guests from the other two schools were shocked.
After coming across the scene onInstagram, fans couldn’t help but joke around about it, with many pointing out the painful look on Draco Malfoy’s face. Here’s what some of them had to say about it:

hemu_2101_:Look at draco he just had enough.
sagheer.rabia:In this whole scene draco was the only normal and sane character.
nikyvesela99:I am still salty that they didn’t include this scene! It was in the books and perfectly shown how weird and goofy Dumbledore and Hogwarts really are.

farhan_fmx:So all the other schools did something cool like ballerina dances, fire spitting and Hogwarts did a school song? That’s just as bad as my boss giving us free lunch instead of a raise.
juana.sunfall:It was one of those days where Professor Snape hated his job even more than usual.
The scene just goes on to prove that not everything can be or should be adapted into live-action, right?
