There are two masks you can find, the Comedy masks and the Tragedy masks. Essentially, they both do the same thing andturn you into a killer. After turning, you will die and this new entity posed as you will take out your crew mates one by one.
The theatre masks can be found on the more expensive planets. If you go to your terminal and type in “moons”, you will see a list of moons you can travel to. You can see yourfunds in the upper left cornerof the screen. If you attempt to go to one of the bottom three moons with insufficient funds, you will receive an error stating you can not afford it.
Avoid Getting Possessed
If you’re holding themask up to your faceafter a certain amount of time, it could possess you. You will want to sell it as soon as possible, and you should get some decent money for it. As with other scrap, the masks may have different prices. The only ways to get possessed are by holding it up to your face or getting possessed by someone who’s already overtaken by the mask. The third option is by dying when you have the mask in your inventory. Once you die with it in your inventory, you will become one of these possessed monsters and look to kill anyone you can.

Letting The Mask Possess You
If you actually want to get possessed by the masks and jeopardize the haul your team has extracted, all you have to do ishold the mask up to your face. It may take a few seconds to a minute to hold it before the eyes on the mask will glow red, and it will suction to your face. Alternatively, if you die with the mask in your inventory, you will then be possessed.
How To Escape Possessed Crew Mate
If one of your crew mates decides they want to see if the mask fits while on the ship, an easy way to avoid dying by their hand would be topull the lever making the ship leave. This will work with any enemy as it will suck them out of the ship.
If you’re in the building with them or outside in general, run. If you have an item that you’re able to hit with such as a shovel or sign, you can alsodefend yourself by smacking them with it. It should be noted that just because they are possessed, it doesn’t mean they can’t run.
Also, keep in mind that if you look on the monitor, whoever is possessed will show up as a regular crew mate,so be careful when teleporting anyone backwhen you’re on one of these moons. When going into one of these buildings, there can also be impostors with the mask on looking exactly like a member of your crew without it actually being a dead team member.
They can follow you outside, so you’re not safe anywhere but back in space. The only real way to avoid them is either tonever go to those moons, run, or simply beatthe possession out of them until you’re safe. Like other horror games,similar to Outlast, you are not given technical weapons to use against the enemies.
