The unsung heroes of the medieval era, shepherds served an incredibly valuable need in the world despite the lack of glamor and recognition that came with their titles.

Sheep were an important source of food and materials for the local villages of Bohemia, so taking the time as Henry inKingdom Come: Deliverance2 to aid these blue-collar workers in protecting their flocks is an admirable task.

Siegfried is one of the Trosky region’s herders, and his pasture is located just to the north of Tachov. Early in your playthrough, you’re able to assist Siegfried with tracking down one of his missing sheep.

This then kicks off a series of four additional shepherd-aiding tasks, beginning with Sheep Among Wolves.

Speak With Siegfried

After helping Siegfried out earlier in the game, you’ll notice a red and yellow “New Activity” map marker appear at his same location a few days later. Go check on him, and he’ll explain that he’s had more issues with his flock disappearing.

He suspects that the same pack of wolves he was struggling with before has returned to cause some more sheep carnage.

Sheep Wolves KCD2

All he requests is that you track the wolves down, eliminate the threat, and bring back a couple of their ears as proof, so let’s get on with it.

Track The Wolves Down

Head to your next map marker, and you’ll notice some animal remains scattered along the path. Upon inspection, this was definitely one of Siegfried’s sheep.

Henry will automatically have the sheep’s remains added to his inventory after investigating the scene.

Chat with Mutt, and he’ll be able to follow the scent of the remains you’re now holding.

From here, you simply need to follow Mutt into the woods until he locates the roving pack of wolves.

Defeat The Wolf Pack

Eventually, Mutt will discover the pack. Take advantage of his combat abilities and sic him on one of the wolves as you focus on taking down the rest.

As always with wolves in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, they’ll try to surround you and are prone to running off and re-grouping once you land a hit. Be cautious.

There are only three wolves in total, so you should be able to cut them down without too much of an issue.

Once the deed is done, butcher the wolves and collect their ears as your trophy.

Collect Your Thanks From Siegfried

Return to Siegfried and let him know he shouldn’t be having any issues from now on. He’ll ask to see the ears you collected, and then will give you his humble rewards.

Siegfried will give you different reward packages based on the number of wolf ears you return with. The more ears given, the better the prize.

The Devil’s Head Die is one of the best special dice in the game, so this is a nice bounty to acquire. When playing with the Devil’s Head Die, a symbol of a devil’s head replaces the number one. When the devil’s head is rolled, it acts as a wildcard and becomes anything you want it to be to complete your set.

Most importantly, Siegfried will mention that you should check in with a couple of other shepherds in the region, Stanislav and Smoliek. This will spawn two more “New Activity” markers on your map to chase down next.
