From schemes of extortion to allegations of se*ual advances, John Stamos’ reputation and his image were at stake. However, the hero remained unscathed as a court trial proved him completely innocent.
It All Started With John Stamos’ Divorce
In 1998, theFull Houseactor married Rebecca Romjin with whom he enjoyed a married life of 6 years. In 2004, the couple announced their split and John Stamos went back into the partying zones of Hollywood. During one of his parties, Stamos befriended a girl named Allison Coss (viaCBS News).
Although there were no calls or allegations during that time, it was a few years later when Coss and her boyfriend Scott Sippola sent a mail to Stamos.

In the mail, it was written that she (anonymous in the mail) had some embarrassing photos of the actor taken at the party. The couple were asking Stamos $680,000 to sell the photos to him. Instead of backing down or agreeing to the conditions, John Stamos called the cops.

Allison Coss and Scott Sippola were later arrested and the whole thing went to a trial in a court. Although it could have very well ended there, Allison Coss decided to take things further against Stamos.
Allison Coss Accused John Stamos of Making Se*ual Advances
When the whole ordeal went to trial, Allison Coss alleged that the case wasn’t as simple as it seemed to the naked eye. Although it was quite clear that what Coss and her boyfriend did was extortion, Coss wasn’t prepared to back down.
As per a report onNickiswift, Allison Coss alleged during the trial that Stamos made se*ual advances towards her while being naked in a bathtub. She also alleged that Stamos had snorted cocaine.
According to Stamos, however, there was“no hot tub, no drugs, no nudity”. The actor claimed that the pair had lied about everything that had happened.

When Allison Coss and Sipolla’s home was searched the authorities found enough evidence to call the couple guilty andJohn Stamosinnocent. The couple was fined and jailed under multiple counts of felonies with both receiving four years in prison.

Allison Coss and Scott Sippola even launched an appeal but the court upheld its previous decision. Stamos’ reputation and image, on the other hand, remained intact (alongside the Scientology thing) as it was announced that there were no compromising photos in the first place!
