Jujutsu Kaisenhas many powerful characters, each with their own unique cursed technique, adding a level of mystery to every fight. It’s been well established that the Zenin clan is one of the most powerful clans, and anyone belonging to it must also be incredibly powerful.

The early focus of the Zenin clan has been on two powerful members who were kicked out due to not having enough cursed energy, Maki and Toji. In the Shibuya Arc, Maki is shown working alongside Naobito Zenin, a powerful Grade 1 sorcerer and head of the Zenin Clan.
Who Is Naobito Zenin
During the events of the Shibuya Incident,Naobito is the current head of the Zenin clanand uncle to Maki, Mai, and Toji. Naobito is stuck in the traditional ways he was raised in through the Zenin Clan,stopping Maki’s promotions as a sorcerer due to her lack of cursed energyinstead of acknowledging his power, as theZenin clan judges its member’s worth based on their Cursed Technique only.

Naobito thinks very highly of himself and his powers,not bothering to help in easier fights that he sees as beneath him against weak transfigured humans during the Shibuya Incident. Naobito is seencelebrating the sealing of Gojo instead of worrying about the dangers that will bringto the world and his clan while alsodrinking heavily and napping during the beginning of the Shibuya Incident,making it seem like he may not take his position as seriously as he should.
Naobito’s Powers & Abilities
Despite his age,Naobito is incredibly strong and fast, with his overall skill level surprising the Special Grade cursed spirit Dagon, who saw him worth 70% of his Domain’s power overNanami’s 30%.Naobito’s unique Cursed Technique is called Projection Sorcery, whichbreaks up one second into 24 frames that either he or someone he touches moves in a second.He compares his drawing Anime, which plays in 24 frames per second, with how those frames are drawn and then put together to form quick movements.
This techniqueallows Naobito to move incredibly quickly and execute quick and powerful attacks during those 24 frames.This technique does have some downsides as once the technique is activated; the subsequent 24 frames need to bedecided instantly by either him or a person or curse he is touching and activating the technique on.Should the technique be activated and the frames not be immediately decided,that person will be frozen in a panel for the next second, being left open to be attacked.
Naobito turns that effect offensive byactivating his technique on unsuspecting targets, who then freeze,not knowing they need to decide the next 24 frames. Thisside effect can happen to Naobito,but after years, he has trained himself never to hesitate when activating his technique. This technique also has the downside in that thesubsequent 24 frames can’t be altered once decided,leaving him open to an enemy fast enough to predict his movements and attack in the next second.
Naobito also has aunique power known as Falling Blossom Emotion,aunique defense against Domain Expansionsthat is passed down throughout the three major clans. Thisshield counters the true-hit nature of Domain Expansions to some levelbut is shown to eventually fail in his battle against Dagon.
