What Is The Ten Shadows Technique
The Ten Shadows Technique allows its user to use cursed energy to summon a Shikigami. This is done bycreating a hand sign that creates a shadow puppet of the Shikigamithe user wishes to summon, with the shadow of the hand sign becoming a living shadow of the creature. Once the Cursed Technique is inherited, theuser will be able to control two Divine Dogs. These are the only Shikigami a user is given for free as they will need to be used to get other Shikigami. A summoned Shikigami is made from shadows, andthe user can also use shadows beyond summoning their Shikigami.

A Ten Shadows user canphysically hide themselves, others, and even cursed tools in shadows,effectively letting them vanish from sight and sneak around. Megumi also displays this ability with his Domain Expansion, Chimera Shadow Garden, whichfills an area with shadows that he can use.These shadows can be used both by him and his Shikigami tomove around and surprise their enemy from anywhere.
Getting More & Using Shikigami
A Ten Shadows user starts with only their Divine Dogs and will need tofight and exorcise the other eight Shikigami to tame them.Any of the Shikigamican be summoned at any time using cursed energy, but the user is not able to control the Shikigamiuntil they defeat it in single combat.The more powerful the Shikigami, the more cursed energy that is required to summon it. Shouldanother person be involved in a battle with an untamed Shikigami, it can still be exorcised but won’t be tamed by the user.
After defeating a Shikigami in single combat, the user is able to summon it, whereit will now be tamed and fight under the user’s direction.With how versatile the different Shikigami are, Ten Shadows users are able tofight from a safe distance while their Shikigami stays close to opponents. Megumi is a unique case in that hefights alongside his shadows, overwhelming his opponents with devastating combos.
Shikigami are also able to besummoned together to create unique combined shadows,such as the winged frogs Megumi summoned when he and Todo briefly fought. Thesecombined shadows have a weaker version of each of the individual shadow’s power.Should a summoned Shikigami die outside of a user attempting to tame it, itwill die and won’t be summonable again.Its power will transfer to another one of the user’s Shadows, such as one of Megumi’s divine dogs dying and combining with the surviving dog.
How Strong Is The Ten Shadows Technique
The Ten Shadow’s Technique is the most revered and sought-after Cursed Technique in the Zenin Clan, which already holds Cursed Techniques above all else when determining someone’s worth within the clan. Its possibility and powerled the clan to almost pay a small fortune of 10 million yen to buy Megumiback from Toji after he left the clan.
After seeing the Ten Shadows technique for the first time,Sukuna became immediately interested, seeing itspossibility as even greater than his own. Gojo also told Megumi the story that once aLimitless Six-Eyes user and a Ten Shadows user fought and killed each otherin combat, implying that evenGojo, with all his pride and cockiness, believes the Ten Shadows Techniquemay even surpass his own.

The tenth and most powerful Shikigami,Mahoraga, has never been tamed by a Ten Shadows user.It has the ability toadapt to any opponent’s attacks and defenseand win incredibly quickly and efficiently. This means thatthe true limit of the Ten Shadows Technique has never been reachedand that if it ever is reached, it could become the most powerful Cursed Technique of all.

Powers & Abilities
Divine Dogs
Two wolves whouse their claws and fangs to fightcurses. They also havegreat senses making them useful for tracking.These Wolves are only decently powerful and won’t stand a chance against more powerful curses.
Afast-flying bird-typeShikigami that is able toelectrocute enemies that get too close. It’s strong enough to carry a person while flying.
A large toad with atongue can lift and throw creatures much larger than itselffrom a medium range.
Great Serpent
A large snake, which canmove quickly and wrap around large enemiesto strangle them while alsobiting and latching on with its teeth.
Max Elephant
A large Elephant able touse its weight against enemiesor fire large amounts ofwater from its nose at a very high pressure.
Rabbit Escape
A large swarm of Rabbits can’t do much beyondcreating a distraction for the user to reposition or escape in a fight.They act as one and can be controlled to create small shapes, like a circle, around an enemy.
Round Deer
A large deer that canuse Reverse Cursed Energy to heal itselfandnullify the effects of nearby cursed tools.
Piercing Ox
A powerful Ox that cancharge forward, building power the more distance it coverswhile alsosustaining many hits before it slows down.
The most powerful Shikigami that canadapt to any attack or defense. It canbreak through any defense and deflect any attack after experiencing it once. Its weapon is able to cut through just about anything, having it defeat most enemies in seconds.
