It has been quite a while since theJujutsu Kaisenmanga ended, but the hype surrounding it is still on, partially because of its further anime announcements. But on the other hand, manga readers are still debating the series’ finale, with some being satisfied and others being not!

In fact, there was this one past revelation that caught intense fan curiosity when creator Gege Akutami admitted that they don’t like Gojo Satoru! May or may not be sarcasm, but it certainly left many wondering what fueled Akutami’s apparent disdain.
However, after much re-reading of the final chapters of the manga and inferring the subplots scattered throughout, it gives evidence against this bold comment. It appears that the beautifully crafted ending of Gojo may contradict what Akutami previously mentioned about him.

Gojo got the perfect ending he deserved!
Quite naturally, Gojo Satoru’s death ignited much controversy among theJujutsu Kaisenfans. Some fans were heartbroken because of his absence within the narrative, while others felt he was carelessly left out by the author during the final stages of the story. But that’s not true!
Akutami never meant to bring back Gojo or make him the highlight of the story; instead, his story was written for a reason, and so Gojo’s death marked a crucial point for the plot progression.

It is true thatGege Akutamihas previously expressed his “hatred” towards Gojo, as they himself mentioned multiple timesin their past comments, saying,

Now that Gojo is gone, it’s looking like 2020’s gonna be a good year.
However, it is this apparent hate that also hid the careful attention to detail poured into Gojo’s character arc. The complexity of this character down to his relationships was meticulously woven into the story.

Akutamidid not just attempt to please the fan appealbut rather stayed focused on balancing their artistic and narrative demands. This, in turn, made Gojo a character whose influence was still felt at the end of the series, never getting forgotten by the characters.
Gojo’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all characters
There were several instances near the end of the manga where it felt like Gojo was actually the best-written character inJujutsu Kaisenand, by a long shot.
The promise Nobara made to respect Gojo’s last words spoke much about his impact, and also,Yuta’s coming as a representative of the Gojo clanalso makes the legacy of his mentor stronger. Even small hints, such as Yuji’s lingering connection to Snow, say much about the impact Gojo has left within the series.

It can very well be seen that Gojo’s presence continues to live on through his students. His influence is so deep that his memory stays in their hearts as a reminder of his guidance and kindness.
The whole criticism claiming that Gojo’s character was forgotten or put aside is completely misguided, as his loved ones- Nobara, Yuta, and Yuji keep his spirit alive. In fact, here Akutami’s brilliance shines even brighter, giving us a story where even without Gojo, his influence still affects the characters and their motivations to a certain degree.
