Netflix went through quite a changeover. We got kind of stuck in that and our post-production shut down, I think, five weeks into it. They were going through a lot of changes, and I totally understand it. We finally picked it back up and I’m really excited about it.
The first film gained attention for the knockout action sequences, especially from Theron. In the film, a group of immortal mercenaries, led by Theron’s Andy, set out on a revenge mission against a pharmaceutical titan who threatens their existence. The gory film managed to reach 78 million households, according to Netflix, and was considered a hit (via The A.V. Club).
