Internet personality IShowSpeed has left audiences baffled one too many times in the past as he took on multiple out-of-the-box challenges and tried to break records on his livestreams. His exclusive challenge – which is currently going on, as of this writing – is to break the world record ofMost Backflips in 24 Hours. And yet, he hasn’t been all that smart while working on this one.

The 19-year-old in his perfectly energetic self managed to go nearly halfway through this challenge in just four hours out of the 24 hours he was given. However, while this move is commendable, it is anything but smart, considering how it eventually led to Darren Jason Watkins Jr. realizing how massive of a mistake he had made by putting so much stress on himself.

IShowSpeed Didn’t Start His Backflip Challenge Smartly

WhenIShowSpeedinitially announced that he would be undertaking a serious challenge like breaking the World Record of the Most Backflips in 24 Hours, he garnered a lot of commendation and fan acclaim over his courage to break such a massive record. But now that heismidway through breaking it, it seems like he should have made more use of smart work than hard work.

For the record for those who may be wondering, the currentGuinness World Record of Most Backward Somersaults in 24 Hoursis held by Nico Scheicher from Graz, Austria. This was created over half a decade ago in May 2019, and the record currently stands at 1,001 (as perGuinness World Records) – that is, unless Darren Jason Watkins Jr. actually ends up breaking it.

As seen in the first part of his live stream of this challenge onYouTube, Watkins Jr. started off as energetically as ever, showing off his speed like never before.

This had him managing to pull off more than 440 backward somersaults in just around four hours, which is, indeed, truly impressive. But all of this took a serious toll on his body.

While the 19-year-old’s extreme practicing for this challenge through situps and pushups and whatnot seemed to have paid off to keep him on his toes in the beginning hours of the challenge, not taking enough rest midway and downing enough fluids had his legs seriously bailing out on him. This had Watkins Jr.unable to even so much as attempt to do a backflip.

Of course, this had him realizing that, even though he still had 19 hours left, he made a big mistake nonetheless by putting so much continuous strain on his muscles. To say the least, he should have paced himself out and had proper rest in the middle to allow his body some time and taken enough energy fluids to keep him going before continuing the challenge back again.

This was followed by him finally putting his bodyfirst, going forward to take a good, healthy nap to allow his legs enough time to heal and even take foods and fluids that would give him energy. But even as he has enough time remaining of this challenge as of this writing with more than half of the backflips done, things seem to be a bit too tough for him.

Fans Commend IShowSpeed But Hold the Same Concern

IShowSpeed really depicted the wits when he decided to attempt to break this world record, but a little over four hours and around 461 backflips into the challenge, he realized that he had to slam on the brakes because“my legs are done.”This had fans pointing out that he should have, instead, paced out his backward somersaults instead of going all in right from the start.

Taking toX, while they are commending him on the impressiveness of it all, fans are also sharing their concerns about him and how he should have played this challenge out. Here’s what some of them have to say:

Should’ve paced himself 440 in 4 hrs was so unnecessary

Honestly, it is incredibly impressive that he has done so many flips. Bro literally woke up and decided to do this shit like yesterday 😭

Bro has 19 hours. If he’s wise he should use some time to rest 😭pic.twitter.com/aDkimzqCrF

He needs to stop treating it like a speed run, he got a whole 19.5 hrs left.

he gotta rest gang, aint no point in rushing when hes already ahead.

i still got fait in you speed your like half way in less than even 5 hours you can even go to bed and still beat this shid with extra time its like he tryna beat it in half a day

Pacing matters so muchFor a world record he can’t touch hands on any of they don’t count either, like tech is SO important too. Almost anyone athletically inclined can do a backflip if they not scared.Being able to hit it on lock like that is why tech is so importantpic.twitter.com/DzXq1nsDzW

That’s what I’m saying bother can drink Gatorade get fluids and a massage sleep for 8 hours and still break the record on his pace lol

As of currently, the young celeb is 660 backflips into the challenge and has around 8 hours remaining (via his second live stream onYouTube). And with all of this being already emphasized by fans, IShowSpeed really needs to give his body a lot more rest, time, and energy foods and drinks if he truly wants to break this challenge.
