There were a lot of rumors and speculations that Dwayne Johnson might return for one last match and fight Roman Reigns. An outlet on social media even alleged that wrestlers Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were also going to be involved. However, the rumors might be false after all.

In a recent segment, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes talked about their journey in WWE. Having an almost mentor-mentee bond, the two decided that at the main event, there wouldn’t be any holdback as neither of them would pull any punches despite training together.

A recent report alleged that Roman Reigns would either fight Cody Rhodes or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania. The rumor further alleged that it could also be a “triple threat” as The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and, Roman Reigns have a showdown.
Another report also theorized that Roman Reigns would fight Dwayne Johnson while Cody Rhodes could face CM Punk. Now, the latest segment of Punk and Rhodes seems to indicate that Roman Reings andDwayne Johnson’sstoryline is out of the box right now. Fans are indeed disappointed with the decision as they wanted to see The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for one final time but it seems that fate has other plans for WWE fans.
