The past few weeks have definitely been a weird and uncertain time for a lot of people. With the coronavirus continuing to upend daily life across the world, being able to turn to some of our usual comforts is impossible in the current moment. Thankfully, video games have been able toprovide at least some sense of comfortin an anxiety-inducing time. Many of us have turned to some ofour favorite comfort gamesto stay connected with friends and relax, and most of all, finally getting to chip away a bit at our backlogs.

With so many people having to stay at home in order to help flatten the curve, we’re turning to theDualShockerscommunity to ask:what games are you playing right now? Whether it’s from your backlog or otherwise, what games are helping you stay home and comfortable? Let us know in the comments below.

Personally, I’ve used my social distancing time to catch up on a lot of recent games from this year and a couple from 2019 that I never got around to playing. So far that has includedHalf-Life: Alyx,DOOM Eternal, andResident Evil 3; just yesterday, I wrapped up my playthrough ofGears 5since I didn’t quite get to it last year. I’ve also spent some of my non-gaming time checking out some gaming-related things, such asThe Witchergraphic novel omnibus from Dark Horse Comics, and I want to start reading the original book series soon.

At the moment, there are a bunch of other games that I’ve started considering playing since we’ll have to spend at least the next month indoors. Now might just be the best time that I can finally dive intoAssassin’s Creed OdysseyandPersona 5, or I might opt to play some more ofBorderlands 3.

Whether you’re spending your self-isolation time gaming or otherwise, all of us here atDualShockershope our readers and their friends, family, and loved ones are staying safe and healthy.
