This title could even affect the sales ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 3. The multiplayer game will have much content with different villains and alternative universes; this may have been one of the reasons for the cancellation of the game.

Like the canceled multiplayerSpider-Mangame, a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation leaked with a lot of information and all the content from this title.

This PowerPoint presentation has a whole plan forSpider-Man: The Great Web. Raids, turf wars, and chapters with stories in every new season of the title. The story of the game has Madame Web in the center, helping you to travel across the Spider-Verse and helping other Spider-Men to defeat incredible threats.
This kind of live-service content would have overshadowed the possible narrative ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 3. Insomniac Games could have compared the amount of income that could have been received from another title in this franchise or the live-service numbers, so this may be the reason to cancel the project.
