“LEVEL-5 will celebrate its 25th anniversary. In 2022, I feel like I personally put my heart and soul intoMegaton Musashi, but in 2023, we will announce many new titles, so I hope to make an even bigger impact as a company. I’m going to do my best with the mentality of ‘Making our presence known going forward.” Hino said in a new announcement (thanks,NintendoLife).

While fans will have to wait until February 2023 to get the nitty-gritty, recent teasers have shed some light on the game’s artwork and system improvements. The latest trailer depicts the previously highlighted gameplay and mechanics, making theInazuma Eleven: Heroes Great Roada far cry. However, the introduction of a new and enhanced character and his impact on the storyline are likely to be a big draw for fans.

According to Hino, the storyline adjustment was not about the new character but about improving gamers' experience. He pointed out the need to depict protagonist Unmei and other top players' struggles in the game as the dominant factor. Nonetheless, the CEO admitted that the new character would be an extremely talented player impactful to the game storyline.

“So, for this Inazuma Eleven, we reconstructed the story to simultaneously depict protagonist Unmei’s rise from the bottom to success, and the agony of those already at the top from different perspectives,” Hino revealed.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes is due to be released for Android, iOS, Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2023. Other details from the overview of the new story, game improvements, and the new character in the latest Inazuma Eleven remain under wraps. Level-5 slates the release and the next development update announcements for February 2023.
