TheStar Wars Jediseries has always managed to win people over with its likable characters, exhilarating gameplay, and somewhat bleak storytelling, even byStar Warsstandards. Despite some technical issues inJedi: Survivor, people continue to look forward to its final outing.

Now, with EA confirming that Respawn Entertainment is currently hard at work producing a third game that will conclude the trilogy, we’re anticipating an epic, and hopefully more technically sound, finale. But there’s also one character in this series that we simply can’t bear to see meet a grim fate.

BD-1 Must Not Meet Its Demise in the NextStar Wars JediGame

BD-1 has been much more than just a utility droid in theStar Wars Jedigames. From unlocking doors to providing essential Healing Stims, his role is integral to both gameplay and the storyline.

More importantly, BD-1 has been Cal Kestis’ loyal companion, and their bond has evolved into one of the most cherished aspects of the series. Fans, too, adore BD-1’s dog-like personality and endearing quirks, which cemented him as an instant favorite within the community.

However, with the trilogy’s conclusion, there’s a looming fear: could BD-1 be sacrificed in the trilogy’s final act?

If BD-1 dies, we riot

Given how high the stakes are going to be with this game and considering thatStar Warsis no stranger to heartbreaking endings at this point, most of us fear the inevitable.

Bd-1 sacrifice incoming

It’s already tough to imagine the end of Cal’s story—considering that his survival would be difficult to fit into the canon and how most understand that his story is probably not destined for a peaceful resolution anyway.

He probably won’t but Cal will. He’s got to so Luke is pretty much the only Jedi running around in the original trilogy.

But losing BD-1? That would be the biggest gut punch we can receive.

Could Cal and Bd-1 Both Survive the Events of the NextStar Wars Jedi?

As all of us mentally prepare for the thirdStar Wars Jedigame, many are also busy speculating about Cal Kestis’s future, and most agree that the guy’s definitely not riding off into the sunset.

By the timeEpisode IV: A New Hoperolls around, Cal should be at his peak in both age and Jedi skills. However, the problem is that he cannot play a significant role in the Rebellion because of how the storyline has been built.

The timeline ofStar Warsoften forces characters like Cal into grim fates. Obi-Wan and Yoda believed they were the last Jedi, which is how Luke became the Last Hope. But could this imply that Cal’s journey ends before those events?

Well, some of the more hopeful of the bunch argue that it’s also possible that Cal retreats into obscurity, living out his life in exile like Luke Skywalker in the sequel trilogy—though, to be honest, this fate seems less likely given the tone of the series and how the character himself has been written.

But, with that said, what do you think is going to happen in the third game? Do you see Cal and BD-1 surviving the game? Let us know in the comments below.
