During an appearance on a podcast, Padalecki spoke about potentially reprising his role as Sam Winchester in a revival of the classic series. However, Padalecki has only one condition for resuming his monster-hunting duties, which means that a return might happen sooner rather than later. Padalecki appeared on the podcastI’ve Never Said This Before, hosted by Tommy DiDario, a few months back. At the time, he was asked about a potential return to the world ofSupernatural. In response, Padalecki revealed that he had only one condition for reprising his role. He said:
The simple answer is 100%. I will play Sam Winchester again. Jensen will play Dean Winchester again. When we realized somebody might want more, we said 2025.
Padalecki added that when the show ended in 2020, he and co-starJensen Acklesdiscussed that they would likely want to return to the show roughly in five years and revisit their characters.
