The finale ofAgatha All Alongmanaged to give Billy Maximoff his origin story as Wiccan, who is a crucial part of the Young Avengers line-up of heroes who are being assembled by Kamala Khan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Given that the finale focused very heavily on the origins of Wiccan as fans know him from the comics, a few fans are miffed about the fact that the show feels more like it was focused on Billy despite having Agatha’s name on it.

Jac Schaeffer believes that the show about Agatha after all

Jac Schaefferwent onThe Official Marvel Podcastto talk about her show and its ending. While the writer acknowledged that the show had a focus on Billy, she was adamant that it was all bout Agatha all along anyway. She said:

I will say though, that it is Billy All Along, but really it’s Agatha All Along, once you understand the origin of the ballad. So, I will die on that hill.

There is a section of the fandom that seems to be a little at odds with what the show promised and what it delivered. WhileAgatha All Alongis being lauded as one of Marvel’s best television offerings since Loki, it might have felt like the focus was not on the promised protagonist of the show, but instead on Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s son who now inhabits William Kaplan’s body. However, Schaeffer believes that since the show revolves heavily around the Witches Road, the story then does focus on Agatha more than Billy.

What is next for Agatha and Billy in the MCU?

Agatha’s ghost and Billy have decided that they are going to go looking for Tommy. While this happens, Vision, Billy and Tommy’s father, or at least a facsimile of him, will have his own little adventure inVision Quest. Further, Wonder Man, whose brain patterns were replicated and entered into the schizoid Vision, will also be making his debut in the MCU through a Disney+ show calledWonder Man.

Wanda might be dead in the MCU, but it seems like her family has a lot of drama left to go through before they get their happy ending. There is the possibility that audiences will see Billy and Agatha inWonder Man, and there are further credible speculations that the character could also make an appearance inVision Quest.Further, it can also be assumed that whatever Doctor Strange has on going next, could feature Billy, Agatha, and Vision as well, ahead ofAvengers: Doomsday.
