Paul Bettany has experienced a ton of success over the last couple of years working under Marvel for theIron ManandAvengerssagas. However, the 53-year-old veteran is back at it again with a brand new movie coming out on August 13, 2025, calledHere. What’s more exciting about this movie is that it will star the legendary Tom Hanks, who will be reuniting with the iconic Robin Wright, who played his love interest inForrest Gump.

This project isn’t the first time Bettany has worked with Hanks either. They previously worked together on the set ofThe Da Vinci Code, which grossed just over $760 million at the box office (via Box Office Mojo), thus solidifying itself as one of the most successful movies of the 2000s. While this movie helped the two get a good amount of recognition thrown their way, it also gave them memories they might cherish for the rest of their lives.

Paul Bettanyhas been out and about doing press tours while appearing in interviews to promote the upcoming film that featuresTom Hanks. Bettany recently had a chat with Jake Hamilton onJake’s Takesand the former asked him to compare the first days of filming with Hanks on the sets ofHereandThe Da Vinci Code.

During their first day onThe Da Vinci Code, Bettany claimed that he made Hanks break wind while filming one of their initial scenes. Although Hanks laughed it off,The Avengers: Infinity Waractor claimed he felt incredibly embarrassed about what had happened. He said,

My first day working with Tom Hanks, I made him fart. So, there’s that… I was very nervous and I didn’t know what to do about it. I had to punch him in the stomach in the scene and I did [and it happened]… I just didn’t know what’s the rule. I mean, I’ve just made the leading actor fart and he was just laughing his a** off and wondering what was wrong with me that I wasn’t laughing.

However, their first time on the set ofHerewas rather fascinating for Bettany. He claimed that Hanks played an 18-year-old in their first scene together while he played the veteran’s father. Bettany was so impressed by how advanced technology has become because it simply changed Hanks’ appearance to look years younger than he is within minutes.

Paul Bettany will be returning as Vision in a Marvel spinoff series

The Hollywood Reporterrecently revealed that Marvel is working alongside Disney+ on a Vision spinoff series that is set to release sometime in 2026. Paul Bettany last appeared in Marvel’sWandaVisionstarringElizabeth Olsenas the Scarlett Witch, which also gave birth to another spinoff series calledAgatha All Along.

While Bettany was at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, he revealed that Marvel is“cooking up something”he is“really excited about.” But that’s as much of an inside scoop that Bettany provided because he believes“snitches end up in ditches.”
