Helldivers 2is one of the biggest surprises from Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment. However, successful games come with a hefty cost and a certain player somehow benefitted from the most recent PlayStation Studios Network fiasco.
Video games and education do not come hand in hand but one player ran out of ideas on what to write on their essay as part of their exam but the recent drama caused by Sony ended up saving his life. While it may have been a hassle for some, at least others benefitted from this unfortunate event.
The Latest PlayStation Network Fumble Saved the Exam of One Helldivers 2 Player
Arrowhead Game Studiosstarted this year strong with this new ambitious live-service project that caught the gaming community’s attention. Unfortunately, the game was a victim of the meddling of the publisher and doubled down by implementing this new requirement onConcordand did not learn their lesson from theHelldivers 2backlash.
There will likely be more victims of Sony’s meddling and while it may be a massive head-scratcher for other players, some used this fiasco as a solution to pass their final examination.
Parents usually frown upon gaming and often cite the negative impacts it brings to the youth but it is hard to deny that this debacle was proven useful to the young student. DirectorJohan Pilestedt was not proudof this situation and how it affected the game’s image but accepted it for what it was.

Helldivers 2 Is Still Saving Lives Beyond the Gaming Industry and Is Good for Education
It was unlikely for a controversial video game to end up saving an exam. Fortunately, the student was knowledgeable about the whole situation and applied what he knew to something else.
The student was resourceful in applying this debacle outside the gaming industry. The game is all about fighting for democracy, freedom, and liberty and is perfectly in line with what the exam is all about.

It is like killing two birds with one stone, the student gets to express his feelings about the whole situation and impart some of his knowledge to whomever it may concern. Arrowhead Game Studios fought tooth and nail to reestablish the reputation the game built and did not back down from being pushed over.
Pilestedt will likely applaud the effort of this young player and will be inspired by his bravery to gamble his final exam on a video game. The gaming community and the developers suffered from this fiasco, but there were some beneficiaries.
