Taylor Swift is arguably the single biggest popstar in the world, as of now. Swift only recently concluded her worldwide Eras tour in Vancouver, which ended with a resounding tribute to her partner Travis Kelce.

Regardless, Nikki Glaser, set to host the Golden Globes 2025 on January 5, has a concerning bit of history with the iconic singer. The comedian had made comments in a past interview that were seen as ‘body-shaming’ by many of her fans.
They surfaced in Swift’s Netflix documentary,Miss Americana, which has prompted Glaser to issue a heartfelt public apology.

“She’s too skinny; it bothers me… all of her model friends, and it’s just like, c’mon!”

The comedian, now 40, expressed her dismay upon hearing her own words in the documentary. In an Instagram post, she apologized, calling her remarks a projection of her personal insecurities.

“I was probably ‘feeling fat’ that day and was jealous,”Glaser wrote, openly discussing her own 17-year battle with eating disorders. Glaser emphasized her admiration for Swift, describing herself as “obnoxiously obsessed” with the singer and her music.

She admitted that her comments were not just hurtful but also deeply hypocritical.

In the documentary, Taylor Swift candidly discusses her own struggles with body image and an eating disorder. Swift recounts being triggered by paparazzi photos and comments about her body, which led her to unhealthy habits, including restricting food.
“I thought that I was supposed to feel like I was going to pass out at the end of the show,”
Swift admitted that she has since moved on, and has since embraced a much healthier lifestyle.
