Elon Musk, the richest man on the planet, has turned out to be one of the most controversial figures in the world today. The billionaire businessman and founder of SpaceX is one of the closest aides of the recently elected president of the United States of America, Donald Trump.
While Musk himself is controversial enough thanks to his often jarring views and opinions, he came under a lot of scrutiny after making a Nazi-like salute during the inauguration of Trump. If that wasn’t enough, Musk has picked up another feud with the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia.

Over the last few years,Elon Muskhas been taking countless digs at the free online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. From claiming that it is biased in its reporting to it not being truthful, Musk has even asked his followers not to donate to the website untilthey restore balance to their editing authority(seeNewsweek).

In a recent attack on the website, Musk reposted a tweet that mentioned how Wikipedia has been ideologically captured since the English wing of the platform tends to mention cases of far-right political extremism more than it mentions/covers far-left political extremism.

Thanking the crowd formaking it happen, the billionaire businessman kept his right hand over his heart and then thrust it out in the air with his fingers all together and palm facing downward, before repeating it again to the people sitting behind him.

Several social media users including Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a history professor at New York University reposted the image on herBlueskyaccount remarking—Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too. Meanwhile, Musk denied claims linking his gesture to a Nazi salute and has dismissed them as mere propaganda (viaBBC).
