In the fateful chapter found in Season 5 Episode 10, Snow met his death after he was called a traitor by his comrades, each of whom stabbed him in the abdomen while uttering “For the watch”. He fell to the ground, bleeding, and just like that his watch ended.

Kit Haringtonshared how he found out about his character’s death and resurrection in an interview withEntertainment Weekly. He thought Snow’s manner of death was truly an awful way to die, and he wasn’t ready to leave the show just yet especially since he felt his arc in the series hasn’t come in full circle.
He kept telling his costars, “I really think this is it, I think I’m dead. When they made sure no one was within earshot, the showrunners revealed he would be back in Season 6 – that Snow is alive – but he needed to keep it a secret. Despite feeling relieved, he went back on the set and put on the same sad face. He admitted lying to everyone and telling his friends that Snow was gone for good.
Interestingly, he couldn’t keep it from his family and his girlfriend,Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte in the show. Everyone else believed his character was genuinely dead.
