Following the strong critical reception of the video game adaptation’s first season, a second installment was greenlit with O’Hara joining the cast in a yet undisclosed role. In a recent interview, the actress teased what fans can expect from her character and comedy is certainly at the top of that list. During an interview withEntertainment Weekly, O’Hara shed some light on her yet-undisclosed character for the video game adaptation’s second installment. The actress confirmed that her character will share an odd relationship with Pedro Pascal’s Joel Miller.
You don’t quite know why she’s got…well, she’s got this edge to her, but it makes for some weird, good dark comedy, I think. So it’s there. I never want to deny the gift of humor.
O’Hara made the above statement, explaining what fans can expect from her character in the upcoming episodes.

The actress’ words suggest that followingher stint onSchitt’s Creek, fans will experience her dark comedy style once again in the post-apocalyptic thriller series. As a result, O’Hara’s character will likely add some much-needed light-heartedness to the otherwise grim tone of the acclaimed series.

In the same interview, O’Hara also discussed her experience of working on the series, which starsPedro Pascaland Bella Ramsey in the lead roles. The second installment started filming in February 2024 (viaVariety) and concluded in August of the same year.

Furthermore, theBeetlejuice Beetlejuiceactress also stated that she learned of the source material through her sons, Matthew and Luke Welch, avid video game fans and set designers for the HBO series. As a result, O’Hara teased fans that the second season, which is expected to premiere in April 2025, will be more intense compared to season 1 because of the second game’s darker themes.
