MCU’s attempts to change how studios approached TV has been a hit or miss, as apart fromLokiand a few exceptions, the reception to most Disney Plus MCU shows has been mixed. And it seems the failure of high-budget shows likeShe-HulkandSecret Invasionwas the last nail in the coffin, as moving forward, the studio will be approaching the medium more traditionally.
This resulted in MCU’s upcoming show, Daredevil Born Again, starring Charlie Cox, undergoing a complete overhaul, with its production going back to square one. Fortunately, this resulted in two fan favorites from the original show being incorporated into the new one, and Cox couldn’t be happier about the matter.
Charlie Cox Is Ecstatic by Foggy and Karen’s Inclusion
FollowingDaredevil: Born Again‘s initial announcement, it was revealed Foggy and Karen weren’t going to be jumping ships from Netflix to the MCU. This reasonably led many, includingCharlie Cox, to be heartbroken, as the characters, played by Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, were the heartbeat of the three Netflix seasons. But thanks tothe creative overhaul, which resulted in the original writers being let go from the show, the two are finally making the jump to the MCU.

“Aw it’s so cool, man. So cool. Yeah, it was pretty heartbreaking when they weren’t around initially. When we came back to filming and they had made some changes, which you guys obviously probably read about and stuff, you know, it was clear that Foggy and Karen are kind of the heartbeat of our show. They always were. So [it feels] really special to have them back. Huge shout out to Deborah and to Elden. I know there’s been photos, there were some set photos that came out, so I know I can talk about it because it’s on the internet. But it was really sweet to have some scenes together again.”

This isn’t the lone time Cox has shared his adoration for hisDaredevilcostars, as he has been pretty vocal about their importance in Matt Murdock’s story. Back in 2022, the actor commendedDeborah Ann Woll‘s Karen Page,claimingMatt Murdock is incomplete without her by his side.
