It Seems Capcom Could be Returning to the Dead Rising Franchise

The first game came out in 1999. It was a survival horror game, but instead of zombies, you had to deal with terrifying dinosaurs. The game was a hit and even had a couple of sequels. But after the third entry in 2003, the series pretty much went away.

The last entry in the franchise came out all the way back in 2003.

Fans have never really forgotten about it, though. The mix of survival horror with dinosaurs was something unique for that time and even now, and people have been hoping for a new installment for years. The survey results show that there’s still a lot of love for this franchise and astrong desire to see it brought backwith modern graphics and gameplay.

The big selling point has always been Dinosaurs. There haven’t been many high-quality dinosaur games for a very long time, and pretty much none in the past two console generations. They are terrifying and fascinating creatures, and there haven’t been many games that have done them justice.

Why Dino Crisis Deserves a New Game instead of Resident Evil or Devil May Cry

There are several reasons why this series stands out and why fans are eager for a new game. First off, the franchise has only had two good games, with the third one not being received by critics or fans either. The publisher’s more popular franchises such asResident Evilhave had several high-quality entries for more than two decades now.

Another reason is the nostalgia factor. Many gamers who played the original series are now adults, and the idea ofrevisiting a game from their youthis incredibly appealing. It’s not just about reliving old memories, though. With the advancements in gaming technology, a new game could be something truly spectacular. Imagine the realistic dinosaurs and intense survival scenarios with today’s graphics, attention to detail, and combat mechanics in the RE Engine.

The publisher has proven that they can successfully revive old franchises. The remakes ofResident Evil 2and4were both critically acclaimed and loved by fans, and amongst the absolute best games of their respective yearsThese remakes showed that they can take an old game and not only make it look better but also improve the gameplay while keeping the essence of what made the original games great.

Are you hopeful for a new entry in this age-old franchise? Let us know in the comments.
