Things happen in threes. I’m about to call Mark Hamill to verify he’s Ok. I have a horrid feeling there’s a curse going on here… What is funny is that last Sunday it was raining hard in L.A. I was driving to the art store and I got into an accident. It wasn’t that serious and I wasn’t hurt but it’s the first car accident I’ve ever had. I drove home and that’s when the wheel came off my BMW.

Fisher also shared that her accident could’ve been fatal. Her assistant told her that she could’ve died if the wheel trouble occurred when she was on the freeway. She shared that when she saw the news about Ford’s crash she was convinced that it was theStar Warscurse. Fisher shared:

My assistant told me I could have died if the wheel had come off when I was on the freeway. Then I was watching the news and saw Harrison had his crash. I’m a bit worried it’s the curse of Star Wars.

However, no curse kept her away from theStar Warsmovies. She returned to the role in the sequel movie,The Last Jedi. Earlier, Fisher had shared in a behind-the-scenes documentary forThe Force Awakensthatit was her job to protect the character of Princess Leia.“I’m the custodian of Princess Leia, so it’s my job to kind of protect her. It’s my whole life,”she shared inSecrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey(via Yahoo).
