It appearsMacaulay Culkinalso shares a similar stance onTBBT. But unlike Sheen, theHome AloneStar refused to partake in the sitcom following a less-than-thrilling pitch, even though he was offered numerous times.

They pursued me for The Big Bang Theory. And I said no. It was kind of like, the way the pitch was, ‘Alright, these two astrophysicist nerds and a pretty girl lives with them. Yoinks!’ That was the pitch.
And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool, thanks.’ And then they came back at me again, and I said, ‘No, no, no. Again, flattered, but no.’ Then they came back at me again, and even my manager was like twisting my arm… I’d have hundreds of millions of dollars right now if I did that gig.
While the actor acknowledged that he could’ve made“hundreds of millions of dollars”had he agreed to the gig, Culkin joked, at the same time he’d also be bashing his head against the wall.
CBS Didn’t Initially Intend to EndThe Big Bang TheoryAfter 12 Seasons
AlthoughTBBTmight not have succeeded in winning Culkin over, to this date, the sitcom remains extremely popular, which spawned acclaimed spin-offYoung Sheldon. However, CBS didn’t initially intend to end the sitcom after season 12 and reportedly offeredJim Parsonsan eight-figure salary to continue playing Sheldon.
But the amount didn’t tempt the star, as he was stern with hisdecisionto part ways with the show long before the finale premiered.
