After reigning supreme on the Prime Video charts,The Boysare on a roll as they continue with their diabolical storyline. In the aftermath of the events that took place in the 4th episode of Season 4, titledWisdom of the Ages, the political unrest is probably pointing out that Claudia Doumit’s Victoria Neuman might be closer than ever, to becoming president.

The Boys have become immensely popular since season 1

While the show is doing immensely well with respect to ratings, with several new faces already making their debuts, it looks like the program is not looking to stop hiring new cast members for the series. Jared Padalecki is the newest name to join the series, and is set to reunite with Eric Kripke and Jensen Ackles.

Eric Kripke Has Finally Hired Jared Padalecki to Share Screen With Jensen Ackles

The superhero genre is well known for transporting viewers into alternate realities and keeping them glued to their screens. While Marvel and DC make the audience look at the superheroes for hope,Eric Kripke’sshow does the opposite.

The Boysdo not hold back their punches at typical superhero conventions that have been showcased by renowned superhero franchises in the past. Hence, a lot of the characters featured in the show would look like a parody of renowned superheroes that we have seen growing up.

The Boys could have had their own Iron Man and Captain America

Most of the casting has been perfect for the series, withJared Padaleckijoining the cast in the 5th and what might be the final season of the show, after the showrunner confirmed the same onX. During an exclusive interview withDeadline, Padalecki agreed to join the show in the final season, as he confidently said,“The answer is yes.”

But that’s not all, because he shared that they have confirmed his role, about which they only talked recently. The actor also said that he is“indelibly connected”to the creator. He said,

We have talked [about a role]. As a matter of fact, we talked today. I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously Eric and I are indelibly connected forever.

However, Kripke might have messed up big-time because he had the golden opportunity to cast him in the perfect role in the show, making him the antithesis of Ackles’ Soldier Boy.

The role is none other than that of another Supe known as Tek Knight,The Boys’version of Iron Man. The character is portrayed by Derek Wilson inGen V. The pairing would have been spot-on, as Padalecki and Ackles would have been perfect in their respective roles.

Had Kripke managed to cast the actor before, he could have made the duo the Captain America and Iron Man of their show. Nevertheless, fans would now be curious about the role that theSupernaturalactor would be portraying in the final season of the series.

Eric Kripke Prefers Hiring HisSupernaturalActors inThe Boys

Eric Kripke has done an outstanding job in the casting process for the characters. He has brought a star-studded cast that has become synonymous with their respective roles. However, he prefers bringing cast members from his other hit show,Supernatural.

During an exclusive interview withScreenRant, Kripke opened up about how he loves to bring back hisSupernaturalcast members toThe Boys. He said,

Eric Kripke loves his Supernatural cast

It’s fun to bring Supernatural characters onto the show, but just because I love working with people I love and if I have an opportunity to bring family back and work with family, I’ll take it and I have a lot of actors from that show who have really become family.

Nevertheless, it would be intriguing to see what Kripke has in store for the final season of the show, and what role the newest addition to the show will portray.
